My poor Mother, who has more than enough crazy on her daily plate thought it would be nice, in the spirit of the Holidays to invite someone who she see's on a daily basis to one of our Church's Xmas services. Now, my Mother is not the type of woman who carries her bible every where she goes and gathers in a room to preach. In fact, you'd probably never see her doing something like that. In the end, she was just trying to be nice and to share a bit of her faith. This woman proceeded to verbally body slam the whole idea of Church, Christians & more.. Though it made my mother a bit defensive as this lady was "attacking" someone she loves.. It mad me, sad for her!. The hurt, guilt and emptiness that this person must consistently feel not knowing or believing that there is anything better beyond this life! Not knowing that she can trust in someone who is there no matter what you need, weather you deserve it or not who will NEVER fail you!! This Christmas as WE get to celebrate being forgiven of all of our sins, mistakes and worldly errors through the birth of our Savior, this other family celebrates each other and their bought gifts. All of which, will one day be totally worn & either be thrown out or eventually die. I have prayed many times for many people and many things! Christmas 2009 we have focused like never before simply on those who do not know Jesus. That one day they will fall to their knees in thanksgiving and worship. To the Most High that they will soon shed tears of joy for their eternal gift through Him and that they would possibly come to know Him through how WE are able to share our hearts with the world...
Christmas is about being forgiven and showing forgiveness, it about spreading the good news that we are saved and have eternal happiness. I forgive this person for trying to damper my Mothers Christmas spirit, and I pray they she will will forgive those who have hurt her Christmas spirit as well... It was a great reminder that so many people that I hold so dear to my heart don't really understand that they have hope in a form that is 100% pure and true. That they are not alone and that they are loved! So again I will pray for them, that as 2009 ends and 2010 begins that they will reserve their VIP spot in the most AWESOME place! And that we would all be able to be together there one day!
